At-home aligner companies keep prices low by removing in-person care: nobody examines your gums and tooth roots before movement starts, and nobody is checking progress along the way. Tooth movement is a clinical procedure — moving teeth on unhealthy gums can cause real, expensive damage. If a budget is the constraint, a supervised plan with a dental payment plan usually costs less per fortnight than people expect.
